Sir Keir Starmer will push supporting countries to provide Ukraine with further extended-range weaponry to hit Moscow's positions during discussions in the UK capital on the upcoming Friday.

Britain's leader plans to receive President Zelensky alongside what's known as "group of committed partners", comprising over twenty of Ukraine's allies who have committed to provide Kyiv protection commitments once a ceasefire is negotiated.

Zelensky has been appealing for weeks for more extended-range systems from allied countries, a step that the Russian government has warned would worsen the war.

President Zelensky is coming from Belgium, where he conferred with EU leaders on the previous day pursuing funding aid.

"The sole individual involved in the ongoing war who refuses to stop the fighting is President Putin," Starmer said.

Sir Keir will also announce that a hundred extra anti-aircraft missiles will be delivered to Kyiv sooner than scheduled, as specified in a multi-billion pound agreement concluded between the United Kingdom and Kyiv in last spring.

Diplomatic Momentum

The Ukrainian president comes off the back of two diplomatic wins this week: Washington's action to implement further sanctions against the Russian government, and European countries deciding to support Kyiv's budgetary shortfall.

Sir Keir is hoping to maintain the momentum by escalating the influence on Moscow to discuss a conclusion to the hostilities.

Britain's leader will press participants to ramp up the provision of extended-range systems following a productive attack on an industrial facility in Bryansk, Russia, using Britain-delivered Storm Shadow missiles.

"And his horrific assaults on young children in a preschool in recent days show that abundantly clear," he stated further.

Several minors were included in a minimum of seven killed in a wave of enemy assaults on Ukrainian territory, which struck a preschool facility in the second biggest city the eastern city.

Budgetary Negotiations

Britain's leader will discuss with supporting countries on approaches for withdraw Russia's petroleum resources off the global market.

The participants will furthermore examine using seized Moscow funds to supply Kyiv with financial loans, though the initiative encountered divided opinions and legal hurdles at the EU conference on yesterday.

The EU declined to approving a plan to employ approximately €140 billion in frozen Russian assets to economically support Ukraine.

Nonetheless, the participants consented to contribute to the country's "budgetary necessities" for the next two years.

United States also disclosed measures on recently against Russia's major oil companies, the state-owned company and Lukoil, as element of actions to increase economic pressure on Moscow to enter ceasefire negotiations.

Russia initiated its major offensive of Ukraine in winter 2022. It currently holds about one-fifth of Ukraine's soil, including the southern Crimea peninsular Russia took control of in several years ago.
